Every winter a grey wagtail can be seen feeding at the edge of the very busy cycle and foot path that connects Weymouth to Portland.
This year the wagtail has become very tame.
Even so I couldn't get as close as I would have liked.
Here's one I got a bit closer to on the River Dart in Devon.
These grey wagtails are often mistaken for yellow wagtails, but they really have very little in common.
Here is a male yellow wagtail, filmed in Wyke Regis last autumn.
But the wagtail you are most likely to see is the pied wagtail.
