Now the RSPB have finally lowered the water level at Radipole there is some mud for waders to feed on.
The North Hide has had a pair of green sandpipers most days for the past week or two - one of the most beautiful and graceful of the wader species.
Note how this one inadvertently wakes up a sleeping teal!
Last week there was also a glossy ibis at Radipole.
I didn't manage to see it let alone film it but I did film the one that was there last winter.
