November 2nd
Visible migration still going on with 700 Wood Pigeons heading south at a considerable height over Downclose this morning. Also a late Swallow and an even later House Martin.

November 9th
A very pleasant calm and sunny day and, as is usual in these conditions, very few birds to see on the trail. A Peregrine at Sandsfoot was the highlight and the first Mergansers were off Downclose. A Snipe was heard over Newstead Road late at night.

November 16th
A half-hour sea watch from the coast below Downclose produced a first for the trail list in the shape of a Little Auk flying west through the harbour towards Ferrybridge.

November 22nd
The first proper winter bird list so far with Slavonian Grebe, Great Northern and Black-throated Divers and a handful of Mergansers all in the harbour this morning.

November 28th
A pair of first-class additions to the bird list today in the shape of a Leach's Petrel feeding out in the middle of the harbour and a female Goosander close inshore near the sailing club. Also a Great Northern Diver and the first Great-crested Grebes of the winter.
