Probably the 2nd commonest ladybird after the larger 7-spot.
The one I saw in October 2007 was of the rare black variety, and didn't look much like a ladybird at all. Contrary to what is often reported ladybirds do not bite and do a lot of good by eating vast numbers of greenfly. |
