A very blustery walk on a cold March day, but an excellent start to the weekend after a week at work!
The walk to the chapel was through fields that were largely birdless, apart from a few Skylarks and Meadow Pipits. Then as we reached the Coastguards Cottages a pair of Roe Deer ran across the field in front of us closely followed by a pair of Red-legged Partridges. After a quick look in the Chapel we walked out to the Lookout and spotted a few Gannets and Razorbills out in the rough waters of the tidal race. A pair of Ravens soared effortlessly overhead into the wind. How do they do that! Walking back we saw large numbers of Rooks and a solitary Kestrel Here are some photos taken on a sunnier day! |
